Host Your Own Event
A Partnership with Yonge Street Mission
Whether you are holding a backyard BBQ or a city-wide golf tournament, we want to partner with you to make it a success. We appreciate your efforts and want to provide as much support as we can to ensure that your event is the best it can be.
If you are holding an event and you simply want to donate proceeds to YSM, feel free to do so. This form is especially for groups or individuals wishing to officially be registered and recognized as a third party event for YSM. Third Party Events are special fundraising events which are planned, implemented and financed by individuals or organizations outside of the Yonge Street Mission(YSM). All financial and human resources to support the event come from outside YSM. As a third party event, you are eligible to receive YSM support, YSM presence at the event and cross-promotion.
As a registered YSM third party event, here are some ways we can support you:
- Promoting your event on our Facebook, twitter and on the website
- Sending a YSM representative, when requested and available
- Providing to the host group charitable receipts for approved donations
- Provide copies of YSM promotional material for participants
Assistance from our experienced staff:
As an extra thank you for your efforts, YSM is offering the help of our experienced
event staff team to aid with your planning. We want to make sure
you are equipped with all the tools available. If your event is approved, you
are eligible for:
- Guidance, assistance and/or recommendations from YSM’s event staff
- A free copy of our report “Running a Successful Fundraising Event” with tips and strategies that are sure to benefit your planning
Our experienced event staff have years of event planning experience and are
eager to provide you with assistance to help you turn your vision into reality.
An experienced event professional can provide you with the right tools for
success, guiding you through the event planning process, giving recommendations
to vendors or just having someone to bounce ideas off of. It can be a
simple phone call, email or a meeting over coffee. Please indicate on the
event application form if this is of interest to you, and our staff will schedule
a time to discuss your event with you.
