Toronto, ON… For 10 years Yonge Street Mission’s Double Take second hand store has provided employment and shopping opportunities to the Mission’s clientele, residents of Regent Park and the GTA. Beginning on October 22, Double Take officially opens Show[case], its store within a store, offering a unique shopping experience, stocked with a unique range of fashionable merchandise, focused on providing design inspiration for the home or wardrobe.

Show[case] features the best of what comes into YSM’s Double Take Store, handpicked from a wide range of generously donated items. Great finds awaiting shrewd shoppers range from teak buffets to classic mantel pieces, retro art to designer handbags.

This first-of-its-kind design store will feature an ever-evolving stock that will be a designer’s paradise: high quality, hard-to-find product at fair thrift store pricing.

Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday           2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Thursday & Friday               2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

About Double Take

Yonge Street Mission’s Double Take second hand retail store provides training and employment to nearly 20 community residents. It accepts donations of clean quality apparel and household items making them available at affordable prices for people living on low incomes. Double Take distributes gift certificates to Mission clients, providing opportunities for young families with children, adults, seniors and homeless street youth to shop with dignity. Shopping and working at Double Take is as much about community development as it is about relief to its employees and clientele.
