Church at the Mission (CATM) Academy
Church at the Mission (CATM) Academy provides discipleship training, spiritual formation and preparation for ministry. Students have the opportunity to take free courses in six different programs: Foundations, Journey through the Bible, Ministry-Formation Training, Spiritual/Personal Growth, Sacred Arts and General Electives. These courses range from one-day seminars to classes lasting for several weeks.
Students may take as many or as few courses as they like. A CATM Academy Diploma (our in-house diploma) is awarded to those who complete a total of 32 courses. Each program has a specific number of courses that must be completed (see below). A student must complete his or her coursework within 5 years to earn a diploma.
CATM Academy Program Descriptions in Brief:
Foundations: This series of courses serves as an introduction to the Christian faith. It is designed for those interested in finding out more about Christianity, for new Christians and for seasoned Christ-followers who want a solid refresher in the basics of the faith.
Journey through the Bible: These courses are designed to equip students with a solid understanding of the books of the Bible. Every year we focus on different books from both Old and New Testaments.
Ministry Formation Training: This program consists of in-class training and practical serving opportunities that are designed to train, encourage and support you as you serve God in the city.
Spiritual/Personal Growth: This program offers courses designed to help students grow to fulfill the potential God has placed within them.
Sacred Arts: Learn more about the arts as they relate to worship.
Elective Courses: CATM offers a variety of courses that focus on topics of interest to people of faith.
