New Communities: Hope Grows in Our City

As Toronto grows and evolves, so do the needs and concerns of Yonge Street Mission’s expanding outreach efforts. To address these changes, YSM is working hard to help move people toward full participation in their community–our community. Rather than simply giving handouts, we’re extending a hand to help people develop the skills and contacts they need to attain their goals and live meaningful lives. To this end, we’re expanding into new communities and continually developing programs that put training, counselling and support where most needed.
