Nerd Nights at Evergreen
The first Tuesday of each month from 6:30-10:30pm. Volunteers who are fun-loving, patient, responsible, caring and committed are sought to spend this fun time with street-involved youth at Evergreen. The environment is safe; the activities are team focused and fun for youth who may not always get the opportunity to experience such an atmosphere. Volunteers must be 25+ years of age. Workshop Presenters Workshop presenters are needed in the following areas:

Monthly Career Panel
Evergreen centre for street-involved youth is looking for people to be a part of Career Panel workshops held through the Evergreen Employment Centre. Qualifications include working in a profession of any kind, being comfortable sharing your story of how you chose your field, being knowledgeable of possible career paths in your field, and being willing to share openly about your own journey towards your career, including setbacks and successes. Career Panel presenters must arrange to be available at 2pm for one hour on a pre-scheduled Tuesday to participate. People working in any field are welcome, with specific interest in the following fields: Trades/skilled workers, Teachers/Social Service Professionals, Healthcare Professionals, Accounting/HR/Legal Professionals, Sales Professionals, Computer Industry Professionals and Retail Professionals. Employment/Life Skills Workshops
Yonge Street Mission is looking for people to present various workshops related to life skills and employment. These workshops will be an important part of the YSM Mentoring Programs, and will have youth, students, and mentors present. The workshops will be held monthly in the evenings. Workshop presenters must be professional yet able to ‘go with the flow’, attentive to the needs of the audience, able to work with a variety of people and skill levels, and be patient. If you are interested, please go to our Apply Online page HERE and specify what workshops topics you would be interested in presenting.
