Our TD Securities Computer Literacy Centre provides computer education to children in ways that are fun and interactive. Our Computer Teachers work directly with the students and teaching assistants to help teach children computer skills/programs. Our Computer Teachers ensure that children in the program are challenged and supported while developing their computer skills and full potential.
We are seeking volunteers to Teach/supervise our Computer Classes for junior division children (SK to Grade 3). Is this you?
Strong basic computer skills, with a knowledge of basic coding.
Ability to assist with creating a weekly course outline and overall course objectives.
Experience working with children in a classroom / tutorial setting.
Works well in a team setting.
Enjoys working independently, and likes to learn from/with others.
Healthy love for children, supporting their growth and valuing them as individuals.
Fun, creative and quick thinker.
Strong command of English language (both spoken and written).
Physical Conditions: energy to deliver 2 hour lecture, and the ability to do some of the following as needed: lift, stretch, sit, stand and go up and down stairs.
Day of Week: Saturday Mornings
Duration: 9:30am to 12:30pm (three hours).
