The TD Securities Computer Literacy Centre provides computer education to children in ways that are fun and interactive. Our Computer Teachers work directly with the students and teaching assistants to help teach children computer skills/programs. Our Computer Teachers ensure that children in the program are challenged and supported while developing their computer skills and full potential.
We’re seeking a computer savvy volunteer, with a strong background using mac computers and Garage Band, or a similar music creation software. This volunteer must love working with kids and have a knack for musical creativity. And, they must work well on their own, and also possess experience as a facilitator, teacher or tutor. Is this you?
Help create a new course, using the iMac software “Garage Band”
Assist with creating a weekly course outline and overall course objectives
Teach a group of students, in grades 5-7 (class size will be up to 12 students)
Teach the course once per week, for 10 weeks
POSITION DURATION/ HOURS:
DAY/TIME: ‘One’ Week Day, Monday – Friday (To Be Determined)
TIME: To Be Determined (Between 3:30pm – 7:00pm)
COMMITMENT: One full term (January to May) with the option to continue in the Fall
LOCATION: Parliament and Gerrard St East
We seek individuals able to make a minimum six month commitment.
