Church At The Mission
Church at the Mission is a church made for you if:
- you are on a spiritual journey
- you are struggling in life
- you wish to have support for your journey
- you don’t want to be judged
- you like good music
- you want to be able to use your gifts and abilities to serve others.
Church at the Mission meets three times per week. On Sundays at 3 p.m. we meet for worship at at 306 Gerrard Street East to worship God.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. we meet at 270 Gerrard Street East (The Christian Community Centre) for Bridges, our twice weekly get together. We enjoy a good meal together, sing songs to God, learn about living positively and with faith. Then we break off into small groups.
Actually, we meet earlier on both Tuesday and Thursday for Bridges courses. You can find out more about that here soon.
Church at the Mission is open most other days for pastoral care and personal support and since we are the church of the Yonge Street Mission, we can connect you quickly to all kinds of other supports: counselling, our food bank, seniors ministry, our New Hope Fellowship group for older adults, computer classes, and opportunities for personal growth.
Rev. Matthew Parker, Lead Pastor,
Lee Schablitzke, Assistant Pastor
Rev. Jan Rothenburger, Community Outreach Pastor.
Florence Cho, Pastoral Aide (Adminstration and Frontline support)
We hope you will join us on a Sunday at 3 p.m. at 306 Gerrard Street East, on a Tuesday at 6 p.m. at 270 Gerrard Street East. Anytime you would like to talk to a pastor, you can call us at 416-929-9614 and ask for Pastor Lee, Pastor Jan or Pastor Matthew, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
