Double Take Thrift Store is an employment initiative of YSM where gently used, high quality clothing, furniture and housewares can be purchased at very affordable prices.
Double Take exists to provide affordable clothing and household items to the community. All profit from
Double Take benefits The Yonge Street Mission and its goal to end chronic poverty in Toronto in one generation.
The store provides first-time employment and training for our community members who have obstacles to regular employment.
Double Take provides an avenue for clients of the The Yonge Street Mission to choose business attire for job interviews, allowing the people we serve to shop with dignity.
SHOW[case] – This “store within a store” is a unique room inside Double Take where bargain hunters can find great vintage and antique items, unique merchandise and upscale clothing, at reasonable prices.
Visit Showcase: Tues, Wed and Sat 2:00 – 6:00pm, Thurs and Fri 2:00 – 7:00pm
Note that these hours are different from normal store hours.

Double Take is located at, 310 Gerrard Street East Toronto, ON M5A 2G7. Free customer parking in the lot adjacent to the building.

- Monday – Wednesday 10:00am – 7:00pm
- Thursday – Friday 10:00am – 8:00pm
- Saturday 10:00am – 6:00pm
- Sunday 10:00am – 5:00pm
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday 2:00 – 6:00pm
- Thursday and Friday 2:00 – 7:00pm

How you can help
You can support The Yonge Street Mission’s Double Take Store by donating your gently used clothing, linens, housewares and furniture. Donations are gratefully accepted year-round, during store hours only. Please do not leave donations outside the store as we cannot accept them in this manner. For large donations (i.e. furniture), pick-up can be arranged. To arrange a pickup, call 416-925-7198.

*Sofa beds, mattresses, bed frames, futons, appliances or cribs are not accepted.
