Customer & Retail Support - Double Take Store

MAKE A DIFFERENCE BEHIND THE SCENES!

Yonge Street Mission’s (YSM) Double Take (DT) Thrift Store keeps clothing and textiles out of landfills while supporting sustainable, community-focused shopping. Volunteering here is a great opportunity for people who want to gain experience in a retail environment and enjoy hands-on work, staying organized, and working as part of a team and supporting the public. Great role for a friendly engaging person, who likes helping others.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Customer & Retail Support Volunteer, you’ll help us warmly welcome and support shoppers. You may:

Welcome, greet, and assist customers visiting store
Refold, restock, and replenish merchandise on the sales floor as needed
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcomng store environment
Work with staff and fellow volunteers, to maintain a safe and welcoming environment

Shifts are 3–4 hours and take place at our Double Take Store at Gerrard and Parliament.

After completing 6+ shifts, speak with your Double Take Store supervisor.
They’ll connect you with our Volunteer Resources team to apply for a Long-Term Volunteer role.
