YSM’s Community Development team recently led a series of three training sessions — all designed to help community leaders gain practical tools and strategies to enhance their engagement and strengthen their impact as they serve their neighbourhoods and seek to be catalysts for positive change. The training sessions were offered both online and in-person in various communities.
When asked what they found most valuable about the training sessions, participants mentioned they most appreciated:
- The expertise of the YSM staff and fellow participants
- Learning how to facilitate meetings, and an overview of different facilitation challenges and practices
- Gaining helpful tips to facilitate conversations
- Participating in breakout groups with one another
