Entrepreneurship Resource Fund
Help fund microgrants for businesses that change lives and communities.
We are once again raising support for Yonge Street Mission’s Entrepreneurship Resource Fund, which offers microgrants and business coaching to low-income neighbours starting businesses.
Yonge Street Mission (YSM) is a 130-year-old social services provider that creates pathways out of poverty in Toronto. Their Entrepreneurship Resource Program addresses barriers facing new business owners through coaching and microfinancing.
We rely on financial donors and experienced volunteers to support every aspect of this program, including reviewing microgrant applications, coaching business leaders, adjudicating microgrant proposals, raising funds and generously donating funds so we can offer microgrants each year. Together with a small team of YSM staff, we have disbursed almost $30,000 in microgrants to date. We have seen the impact of this program on people, including new Canadians, who are seeking to support their families just like you and me.
Please join us in supporting the distribution of microgrants again this year! Or call us to explore other ways to get involved. Your gift of time, treasure, or talent will help early-stage entrepreneurs launch or grow their businesses and end the cycle of poverty.
