Yonge Street Mission’s (YSM) Double Take (DT) Thrift Store helps keep clothing and textiles out of landfills while supporting sustainable and community-focused shopping. Volunteers play an important role in sorting donations, supporting customers, organizing merchandise, and helping reduce waste.

As a Backroom Donation Sorter Volunteer at Double Take, you will play an essential role in helping to organize and maintain our inventory. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and have attention to detail.

- STEP 2: Log into your account to view and apply for available Double Take volunteer roles.
- STEP 3: Sign up online anytime for weekly short-term volunteer shifts when they become available.
NOTE: Volunteers can choose to stay as short-term volunteers, where they can continue to sign up online for available shifts when they are available to help, offering greater flexibility in scheduling. After completing 6 or more short-term shifts, volunteers may also choose to apply with Double Take staff to become long-term volunteers. Benefits of becoming a long-term volunteer include having a regular weekly shift schedule and access to additional store opportunities, including volunteer leadership roles.
