Double Take Store
Double Take Thrift Store is an employment initiative of Yonge Street Mission where gently used, high quality clothing, furniture and housewares can be purchased at very affordable prices.

Hope
Double Take exists to provide affordable clothing and household items to the community. All profit from
Double Take benefits The Yonge Street Mission and its goals towards bringing hope to the city.

Employment
The store provides first-time employment and training for our community members who have obstacles to regular employment.

Dignity
Double Take provides an avenue for clients of the Yonge Street Mission to choose business attire for job interviews through gift certificates given out in programs, allowing the people we serve to shop with dignity.

SHOW[case] – This “store within a store” is a unique room inside Double Take where bargain hunters can find great vintage and antique items, unique merchandise and upscale clothing, at reasonable prices.

Come visit the Showcase: Tues, Wed and Sat 2:00 – 6:00pm, Thurs and Fri 2:00 – 7:00pm
Note that these hours are different from normal store hours.

Location:
Double Take is located at, 310 Gerrard Street East Toronto, ON M5A 2G7. There is free customer parking in the lot adjacent to the building.

Double Take hours:

  • Monday – Wednesday 10:00am – 7:00pm
  • Thursday – Friday 10:00am – 8:00pm
  • Saturday 10:00am – 6:00pm
  • Sunday 10:00am – 5:00pm

Showcase hours:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday 2:00 – 6:00pm
  • Thursday and Friday 2:00 – 7:00pm

How you can help
You can support The Yonge Street Mission’s Double Take Store by donating your gently used clothing, linens, housewares and furniture. Donations are gratefully accepted year-round, during store hours only please. Donation pick-up can be arranged if it is a large pick up. To arrange a pickup, call 416-925-7198 or you can drop off donations during store hours (just inside the main doors).

Greatest Needs:

  • Career apparel
  • Maternity wear, baby and children’s wear
  • Men’s clothing and shoes, all sizes
  • Furniture**
  • Ladies Wear sizes 14+

**Please no sofa beds, mattresses, bed frames, futons, appliances or cribs. Thank you!
