SPREADING CHRISTMAS CHEER WITH YSM THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
Christmas in Toronto can be a time of incredible beauty – and incredible pain. For the thousands of youth, families in need and adults experiencing chronic poverty in our city, Christmas can bring aching cold and hunger, loneliness and heartache. Your support will help YSM spread hope to these individuals and let them know they are not forgotten.
Here are a list of ways you can help us spread Christmas cheer this holiday season:
HOST A CHRISTMAS TOY/GIFT DRIVE
Please click here for a list of approved kids toys and greatest needs for teens, street youth, adults and seniors this Christmas season. To be consistent with our core values, violent toys such as guns, swords and nerf guns will not be accepted. Toys can be dropped off at our administrative office at 306 Gerrard St. E. until 11am on December 22.
ORGANIZE A FOOD DRIVE
You can help keep our shelves stocked with healthy food and much needed supplies. Our food bank and baby food bank have over 30,000 visits a year and this Christmas, many will continue to rely on us to help them provide for their families.
Please click here for a list of our greatest needs this upcoming holiday season.
You can also become a Friend of the Food Bank by providing grocery store gift cards so we can ensure we keep our shelves stocked.
